A few preliminary searches on Google didn't turn up any definitive answers. Curious. I remember it was one of the things I had to learn when I moved to the U.S. from Malaysia, like using Fahrenheit instead of Celsius, and the omission of the letter "u" in certain words.

Re: East Meets West 57

all right :) Machugger II

Re: East Meets West 57

:)

Re: East Meets West 57

yes, i like the mac :)

Re: East Meets West 57

Just made a flickr group for all us fans of Mr.Chang and Tom called East Meets West-podcast
http://www.flickr.com/group...
Just join them and we can also carry our discussions @ other places and Tom and Roger do care to join
Kevin.C and Bro Jon i guess you people would be second to join, obviously i joined . anyway ,its a public group
thanks
Guys

Re: East Meets West 57

Jon so i didn't get the phrase...meaning did you like it or not !!
Sorry I like plain english
The Book is here and i downloaded your widget looks good Kevin
Bye

Re: East Meets West 57

One more thing, I do apologize for the poor grammar from my previous "widget" post. Time for some semi-random thoughts:

1. I forgot to answer a previous question you guys had made about 2 episodes ago (I think) as to whether I caught Malaria or not from my trip to Colombia. Regretfully, the answer is yes and trust me folks it was NOT a very pleasant experience. Having both diarrhea and nausea at the same time is hell, I felt like dying (no foolin', in no way am I exaggerating). I had to spend nearly half a week in the local village hospital, which was a scary experience mind you. Oh no I didn't stay at a fairly modern-looking hospital, I had to stay in a dilapidated "third world" hospital. It felt like I was on an episode of Lost. I'm glad to say that all is well right now, but it was an experience I'll never forget...and frankly I prefer to forget it :-).

2. Jon smells.

3. I could mention my top podcast list, but I'd have to narrow it down to about 5 since the list itself is very long. I will say this, my top 3 podcasts consist of EMW, BOL, and TWiT.

4. Wow I remember back in the days when Xuxa (or "shoo-shaa") was as popular as canned bread, she had her own TV show, toys, clothing, everything! I'm surprised she's still popular even until this day. Kudos to her!

5. I wonder if biscuits are considered allowable in the Roger Chang Diet..hmmm

Re: East Meets West 57

ladies, gentlemen, and jango, after weeks of inactivity, bug fixes, release candidates, and public betas, i've returned for some more random comments of an random and error-free nature:

- i'd like to think that cloverleaf+period could be like EMW for the east coast given that it's about 2 dudes talking about random things on a weekly basis...except that we lack the obvious fanbase EMW is most famous for. I'd like to think of myself as the "tom" and kevin as the questionably-existant "roger". I know i'm probably talking crazy but it's 12:30am and my head's half-awake.

- timothy, ive finagled with juice for vista...works a little janky but it gets the job done better than other podcast-catcher-uppers

- Jayesh, congrats on getting the MB pro! food will taste better, the air will smell richer, etc...

- finally, for my list of top podcasts, TWiT used to be #1, but now it's been replaced by a tie btween BOL and EMW...there, i said it :-)

Re: East Meets West 57

Stargate: You know, looking back at the episode list, the first couple of seasons had as many filler episodes as the later seasons. I think the problem with the show is, as Roger says, the reuse of plot from other science fiction.

I think the show had a peak at around Season 5-6, and the worse was Season 8. Season 9 and 10 have had big improvements with the Ori story. The two seasons had a more tight storyline, with few throwaway episodes.

Atlantis: I thought season 1 was great, season 2 was a disappointment, and season 3 was a great improvement. If you haven't already, you should give it a chance.

Re: East Meets West 57

And Guys for the longer podcast i think you should make Eileen sit in the middle and why don't you do a show with her, like you Did V.Bel
My Top 12 List of The Best Podcast
1. I do agree that the whole Ori thing is kind of odd though it is weird that I now watch it because the new doctor is from Andromeda, Ben BRowder and Cladia Black are from Farscape, and the daughter "chosen" is the Companion from Firefly.

But, reguardless I do like that the current plot line nad the back explaining of things that are going. Also, if you watch the behind the scenes or specials they do own up to some of the mistakes that they make.

And...Atlantis sucking? I am sorry but I am liking Atlantis more and more as they delve into the unknown parts of the Wraith. Esp that they know nothing about how the Wraith works and are constantly getting bit in the butt for that.
